7.They frequently reference the size of the crowd to validate God’s anointing on them and their ministry.

Why I Called Out Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer

Church Is Messy (and that's a good thing)

I have been preaching for 20 years.  Yesterday I did something that I have never done before in a sermon.  I publicly called out false teachers and named them by name.  I said,

If you listen to Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer, if you take what they teach seriously, it will not be good for you.  It will be detrimental to your long-term growth as a follower of Jesus.

I used to think that their error was so blatantly obvious that they could just be ignored.  I was wrong.  They are massively growing in popularity in the evangelical world and are seen as credible and helpful.  Before I’m inundated with questioning emails I want to share why I distrust these two and think you should as well.  So, don’t shoot met–at least not yet.

„Nu vă temeţi: căci vă aduc o veste bună, care va fi o mare bucurie pentru tot norodul: astăzi, în cetatea lui David, vi S-a născut un Mântuitor, care este Hristos, Domnul”
Aceasta veste buna a ajuns si in desertul Kalahari, de acolo de unde echipa de misiune Kalahari New Hope are bucuria sa va transmita cele mai bune ganduri de pace si implinire, in preajma acestor sarbatori ale nasterii Domnului Isus Hristos.
Pentru noi, bucuria acestor sarbatori este sporita, pentru ca avem prilejul sa vedem modul minunat in care Dumnezeu strange roade pentru gloria Lui din mijlocul bosimanilor. Copilasii care pana mai ieri nu stiau sa scrie, sa citeasca, nu stiu despre bucuria nasterii unui Mantuitor si erau la fel ca poporul din Galileea care zacea in intuneric, peste ei a rasarit o mare lumina, lumina Evangheliei care aduce iertarea pacatelor si impacarea cu Dumnezeu.
In urma cu trei ani am deschis o scoala prin care copiilor li se ofera posibilitatea sa invete sa citeasca, sa scrie si sa auda despre viata Domnului Isus in cel mai simplu si practic mod. La inceput, copiii au venit pur si simplu. Au venit poate din curiozitate, sau constransi de foame. Erau fara haine, fara incaltaminte, fara mancare si fara cele mai elementare notiuni despre Dumnezeu. Au venit si noi ne-am bucurat. Dumnezeu avea pregatit pentru ei ceva minunat. La scoala au gasit ceea ce nu gasisera deloc in familiile lor si in colibele lor. Au gasit hainite curate, incaltaminte, mancare, carti, creioane si cele mai interesante si captivante povestiri despre un Dumnezeu care are un Fiu ce a venit in lumea noastra pentru noi si fericirea noastra. Asa am reusit sa ajungem la inima lor si prin ei, la inima parintilor lor.
Anul acesta, la fel ca anul trecut, am pregatit impreuna cu ei un program prin care sa celebram si noi nasterea Domnului Isus. Am incercat sa zugravim si sa rememoram evenimentele de acum doua mii de ani, sa repovestim intr-o maniera cat mai usor de inteles, nasterea Domnului Isus. Programul de sarbatori impreuna cu copiii de la scoala Kalahari New Hope il puteti urmari aici :
